Olympic runners have two, pass it on moments. We think our legacy looks like baton relays. Where we run and near the end of us we pass it on to someone else and let them run faster. But God’s calling for us is unique and can’t be transferred from person to person. Legacy leadership is like the torch lighting. It is about igniting the fire in others while keeping ours burning bright. The final part of David’s story teaches us this. Through the temple plans and his moments with Solomon we learn how to lead with legacy in mind the way God intended.
