We have this incredible kid living in our neighbourhood. He’s funny, witty, well-mannered, and above all an absolute joy to watch play. He shows off tricks on his bicycle, comes with me to the park to walk the dog, and tells me all about his favourite breakfast. His name is True.

True doesn’t go to church and has no idea what church life looks like. But his whole family calls Pastor Leon “Pastor”, and so does True.
The other day, during one of our amazing conversations, I called Pastor Leon “Leon.” Turns out I made a big mistake. True’s tall, bald neighbour isn’t named Leon. His name is Pastor.
I love this misunderstanding. Neither Pastor Leon nor I care that True has the name wrong. What matters is the wonderful relationship we have with him.
In this message, we’re addressing three misunderstandings worth clearing up, but for God, it’s all about the wonderful relationship He has with us.
